Do you offer a trial membership?
We want everyone to enjoy their time at Roundwood, so you are welcome to come along and try out the club before committing to join. If it's your first time, then get in touch to find out about our new game of Bowls Bash where you can pay online to play a game at our club with no obligation to join., and if you're an existing player in another club, or returning to the sport after a break, come along and experience our friendly games for yourself.
Are children allowed entry?
Bowling is a sport for all ages, but it's important to make sure that everyone is enjoying it! If you are bringing children to spectate, then you are responsible for their behaviour and conduct while on site, so if you think they will get bored easily, perhaps consider if it is the best environment for them. Children and young people who want to try playing bowls are always welcome, get in touch with our club secretary to see what options we have available for them to have a go. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
What do I need to start?
If you're coming along as a beginner, then all you need is comfortable clothes, a pair of flat soled shoes and a lot of enthusiasm! We have everything else you need until you've decided that bowling is the sport for you! You don't even need to have your own bowls, If you have your own set then that is great. If you are brand new to the wonderful world of bowling we can lend you some in the correct size till you decide to purchase a set of your very own! Just ask!
